Glazing, opaque structure and retrofit — three systems from one engineering team. Every level below carries its nominal thickness, its areal density and the standard it is classified to, so it can go straight into a glazing schedule or a door and wall specification.

BTP Ballistic Glazing — BR2 to BR7
A layered composite of laminated safety glass, polycarbonate, acrylic (PMMA) and selected PET, engineered to absorb and disperse projectile energy while holding optical clarity. Weights are per square metre — the number your frame, lintel and ironmongery have to carry.

Areal density stated per m² of glazing. Classification to EN 1063; EN 1522 applies to the complete window, door or shutter assembly including frame. The inner face carries a BoPET spall-control layer. Classifications apply to the complete tested Fortis system.
BNTP Opaque Armour Panels — FB1 to FB7
Glazing is rarely the weak point — the wall beside it usually is. BNTP panels are UHMWPE laminates, optionally with a silicon carbide ceramic strike face, built into structural walls, safe-room linings, door leaves and window and door frames.

FTL 300 & FTL 600 Security Laminate
The same high-tensile PET laminate we build into the certified ballistic glazing above, supplied as a bonded retrofit on the glass already in the building. Under 1 mm added. No change to the pane, the frame or the structural opening — which is why it does not touch the glazing schedule at all.
Scope, stated plainly: FTL is an anti-break-in and anti-vandal product. It is not classified ballistic glazing and must not be specified against a ballistic requirement. Where the brief calls for a BR level, specify BTP. EN 356 classification is in progress.

What the frame actually carries.
Areal density is the figure that decides whether an opening can be upgraded at all. Unit weight for three common pane sizes, so the answer is available before the structural engineer is.
