FPCG Glass · UHMWPE Panels · RunFlat · Fuel Tank
Conventional vehicle armoring adds tons of weight, kills suspension and braking, and demands constant maintenance. Fortis solutions are engineered around composite science — UHMWPE, polycarbonate, ceramic, and FTL laminate — to deliver certified BR-grade protection while preserving the original vehicle's tactical characteristics.
Why lightweight matters
Traditional armoring adds tons of weight to a vehicle — affecting brakes, suspension, range, fuel consumption, and frequency of service. The hidden cost isn't the armor; it's everything the armor breaks.
With Fortis lightweight composites, an armored vehicle keeps its tactical characteristics — speed, versatility, range, braking distance, fuel economy — and avoids the cascade of mechanical reinforcements (suspension, brakes, frame) that traditional armoring forces onto every armored unit.

Curved vehicle glass
Curved vehicle glass composites are produced in Fortis facilities in Slovenia and Turkey using autoclave units, silicon bags, and steel molds. PET lamination is performed in dust-free rooms. Glass can replace OEM panes directly or be supplied as the complete composite unit. 65% protection from day-1; full curing in 80–90 days depending on conditions.

Lamination is performed off-vehicle in dust-free conditions, then re-installed. Lab-traceable batch records and certified test reports provided per project. Detailed material specifications shared under NDA during the technical briefing.
Non-transparent panels
Non-transparent vehicle parts — doors, pillars, roof, hood — are protected with composites of UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene), SiC ceramics, and (in limited cases) ballistic steel. Tested to EN 1522 / FB classification.

Beyond glass and panels
Up to 100 km of range with deflated tyres after ballistic or terrain damage. RunFlat International is the leading independent supplier in the defence and security sector.
Tested to FINABEL 20.A.5 (50 km) and FINABEL A.20.A (100 km).
Ballistic-rubber wrap of thickness matched to the required protection level. Optional install per client request, performed by Fortis technicians.
Hood protection and other vehicle areas are designed by the Fortis R&D team upon customer request. Bring us a vehicle and a threat profile; we'll engineer the solution.
Prototype — Awaiting Homologation
A transparent BR4 shield (Acrylic + Polycarbonate + PET) that hooks onto the external side of a vehicle door — protecting both the window and metal panel. Stops all handgun ammunition up to BR4.
Currently in prototype, undergoing homologation. On certification it will be deployed for law-enforcement operational work where firearm engagement is anticipated, and patrols in elevated-violence neighborhoods.
